Desert Foothills Library at t he heart of our community

Who We Are

The Desert Foothills Library is one of the few public, non-profit libraries in the Southwest supported entirely by paid memberships and donations by individuals, businesses, local Towns and organizations. The Library offers full expert library and research services with central community resources: Internet and Wi-Fi service; an extensive calendar of unique special events; passport services; adult, teen and children’s programs; and meeting rooms.

The recent Library expansion tripled the size of the facility and made the most of the exceptional views of Black Mountain and ambiance of Saguaro Hill. Every window and patio offers a stunning vista that compliments the award-wining services and friendly desert foothills atmosphere. The Library’s distinctive spaces are available, at a fee, for private and community functions.

Library Members enjoy dozens of educational and entertaining events throughout the year. Their generous donations to the Library help cover overhead and maintain library and community services. In addition to the satisfaction of knowing they are supporting the Desert Foothills Library, our Donor Members are invited to special events, and receive invitations to private unique gatherings that introduce them to authors, artists, book dealers, celebrities and many interesting and knowledgeable individuals in intellectual and artistic arenas. Take a look at the levels of Membership to find the one that’s right for you.
