Joan Anderson

Friday, May 16th - 1:00pm

JOAN ANDERSON has always been curious—asking questions, trying to figure out life’s meaning—all in an effort to live fully and get it right. She started out as a reporter, moved on to photo essay books, and finally settled into the genre of memoir. The latter happened quite by accident after she ran away from home, lived a year by the sea on her own, and realized that the experience was invaluable. “By writing my story, it has given hundreds of thousands of women the excuse to take themselves away, have their turn, and see who they are beyond the roles that they play.”

The four books that have come out of her experiences have all been best sellers. She’s made several TV appearances including Oprah and The Today Show, travelled internationally on eight book tours, and has been featured in numerous articles as “a person who wanted to become a scholar of self and soul.”

Joan conducts weekend retreats (including Sedona) for women seeking personal nourishment and speaks on women’s topics for organizations throughout the country. She will tell you, “I am truly as unfinished as the shoreline along the beach, meant to transcend myself again and again. It is my delight to encourage women to know they too are unfinished.”

Glen Phillips

Monday, May 19th - 5:30pm

“I am an animal communicator and healer. Having always enjoyed being with dogs, cats and horses, I have been given the ability to speak to and understand what these amazing creatures have to say. Being highly empathic, I also feel, not only the emotions, but also the pain or discomfort the animal is experiencing. I can make sure you are both on the same page in your lives."
